Fee After Sale

About Fee After Sale

Fee After Sale is run by a single independent builder as eight marketplace fee calculators built around one idea: show the math, not just the number. Every tool states the formula it runs, works a real example through to the penny, and cites the marketplace's own current fee page it relies on -- eBay's final value fee, PayPal's merchant rate card, Etsy's transaction and processing fees, Stripe's standard pricing, Amazon's referral fee schedule, and the seller fees published by Mercari, Poshmark and Depop.

How the calculators work

eBay's final value fee and Amazon's two banded referral-fee categories (Clothing & Accessories, Jewelry) run through one shared tiered-fee engine, rather than each tool re-implementing its own banding logic. Every calculator's reverse mode -- desired net proceeds back to a listing price -- runs through one shared numerical solver, so a fix to how reverse mode handles a capped or banded fee applies everywhere at once. Every formula is checked against a hand-derived expected value in the site's own test suite before it ships.

Where the figures come from

Every rate on this site is read from that marketplace's own current fee page, with the URL and the date it was checked shown on the calculator that uses it. Where a marketplace's help center blocked a direct fetch, the number was instead confirmed against the exact quoted text of that same official page as surfaced by a live search, cross-checked against multiple independent, currently-published fee calculators that all agree -- and where even that couldn't pin a number down (four of Amazon's banded referral-fee categories), it was left out of the calculator entirely rather than guessed. See each calculator's "how it's calculated" section for the specific source and date.

What it doesn't do

These are estimates from the inputs you enter and each marketplace's published fee schedule as of the date shown, not a guarantee of what any marketplace will actually charge, and Fee After Sale isn't affiliated with or endorsed by eBay, PayPal, Etsy, Stripe, Amazon, Mercari, Poshmark or Depop. Fees change -- always confirm the current rate on the seller's own page before pricing a real listing. See Terms.
